Winter Activities at Lake Tahoe

These resorts offer shuttle service along Tahoe's North and West Shores. Other Lake Tahoe ski resorts include Sugar Bowl, Boreal, Homewood, Granlibakken, Mt. Rose, Diamond Peak, Donner Ski Ranch, Heavenly, Sierra-at-Tahoe, Kirkwood, and Dodge Ridge. For the cross country enthusiasts, you will find beautiful trails at Tahoe City XC/Lakeview Ski Area, Tahoe Donner Ski Area, Royal Gorge Ski Area, Sugar Pine Point State Park, and Donner Memorial State Park, just to name just a few. These nordic ski areas are groomed for touring as well as skating. In addition, there are many beautiful areas on the North and West Shores for backcountry skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling, as well as two ice skating rinks located in nearby Squaw Valley and Northstar.
