Welcome to one of our favorite homes!

This wonderful dog-friendly Tahoma house boasts beautiful modern construction, a hot tub, a jacuzzi bathtub, internet, great yard and woodsy setting.

This two story home has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The upper level has the master bedroom with a King size bed and private full bath with a jacuzzi tub. The open kitchen and living room with rock fireplace are also on this level. The 2nd bedroom has a Queen bed, and the 3rd bedroom with two sets of bunks all located on the lower level (occupancy 8). The home has newer beds and TV/DVD in nearly every bedroom.

The home has a large upgraded kitchen, stainless appliances, and dining table for 10. Upscale mountain decor throughout the property. Lovely house - we highly recommend this Tahoma treasure! The home owners have provided an extra large dog crate in the garage (cannot be removed). Electric grill available on the deck during summer.

Must be at least 25 years old to rent.

Prior approval is required to bring more than one dog to any dog-friendly property. All dogs must be at least one year old and must not be left unattended at the property unless crate trained. No pets other than dogs are allowed at any of our pet-friendly properties (no cats, birds, ferrets, etc.).

*PLEASE NOTE: If you are bringing a dog to our dog friendly property there is an additional fee of $100+tax.

Our properties do not have air conditioning.

Please note that this property has a noise devise that monitors excessively loud noises per county compliance.

BBQs are not provided during winter months (November to Memorial Day)

Our 1st day was after a good amount of snow fall.
This home was so comfortable, clean and cozy. Loved the floor plan.
After a day of skiing it was nice to come back and sit in the hot tub. It was nice to have a fenced in yard for our pups to get some fresh air without being on a leash. Also nice to have a garage where we were able to fit one small & one medium SUV.
Would most definitely stay here again.

My husband and I took our dogs up to Tahoe for a few days to beat the heat in the valley. The house was great. Super comfy. The furniture was all new and really cabinish! Our dogs loved walking the neighborhood and trips to the many dog-friendly beaches and restaurants nearby. For pet owners...the backyard is fenced, however there is no access from inside the house. You need to go out the front door, down the stairs, around the side of the house to get into the yard.

This is a great, great house and our stay was wonderful. The only negative for us was that there is really no outside area to hang out, no table outside for dining. The hot tub takes up half the very small deck. The yard is just dirt with nowhere to entertain. I can see that this house would be perfect in winter.

Great house for our South Lake Tahoe vacation. It was the perfect size for two families with kids. The house was well stoked and walking distance to town and The Dog & Bear Tavern, which has great pizza and beer. The hot tub was the perfect way to cap off a day of adventuring. We would definitely stay again.

We had a great time staying here! The cabin was very clean when we arrived and was walking distance to the lake. The only note I would make is that it was missing a couple of cleaning items, such as shampoo/conditioner, dishwasher tabs, and laundry detergent.

I would highly recommend Sherman House. The property was very clean and well appointed. The beds we used were comfortable and the house feels spacious. The neighborhood is quiet and great for walking. We were able to walk to Sugar Pine to access the snowshoeing trails. We brought our old golden retriever with us and, as expected from the photos, there were a lot of stairs! Just be aware. Overall, we had a really great stay!

Two families (4 adults, 3 kids, 2 dogs) enjoyed our time at the cabin. Everything was clean and ready, and we were quite comfortable. We loved the hot tub on the deck and the quiet neighborhood location. The BBQ was missing, and we could have used a few more towels, and while the kitchen had fantastic cooking and storange tools there was no salt or pepper or tinfoil so be sure to bring your own. The beds were comfortable, although we think the second bed was a full, not a queen. The property managment company was responsive regarding a maintenance item and offered us a fair discount. We would definitely return.

Spent a week at the Sherman House located in Tahoma along the west shores of Tahoe. The house is newer with a great kitchen, newer beds and a great hot tub. What drew us to the property is that the owners allow a dog, which was a must for us, as we had adopted a lab in the last year and did not want to board him. The property is located about 20 minutes from Tahoe City which is the largest city for shopping and entertainment. went hiking from the property (just stay out of State Parks with pets) as well as Meeks Bay Trail and Truckee River. The house is well furnished, newer, and a great place to relax after a day playing in the mountains or Lake.

Nice, clean, kitchen well equipped. The house worked great for our family. The rental agent was also very nice. I woul have given and 4&1/2 stars. The only negative comment: both showers had very low flow.

Beautiful modern open home with plenty of space. The hot tub and the ability to bring your dog was great. First I have to admit that I was very late in trying to rent a house in Tahoe in high season. When I called the office I gave my information over the phone; but did not get a E-mail stating that everything was O.K....Made me nervous....Go on the phone the next day and was put in touch with Jessica. WHAT a great employee...tracked down my rental information, put my mind at ease, and completed the paperwork, and sent out the confirming E-mail right away...She rocks!!! Thanks to her we will be rebooking with the Hauserman Group in the future..

Nice house, noisy neighbors

it was a nice house, exactly as described. A walk to the 'beach' is not an easy one, especially with some beach equipment and a stroller. Beds very comfy (even bunk beds in kids room), kitchen nice and spacious, TVs old and outdated (but in working condition), DVD collection generously left by the owners not compatible with the DVD players (oops!). No access to the backyard from the deck, but then there is nothing in the backyard to even want to go down there. I'd say it's priced a bit higher than it's value given the location and the neighborhood (party-going neighbors with extremely loud music just across the street put a bit of a damper on our stay). But no complains about the house itself. (This review is for the stay in the summer; I think it may be a funner place for winter stay).

Great rental with plenty of room for our family, but could have easily accommodated 2 families with plenty of bathrooms and lounging space. The kitchen was great with gas stove, fridge with ice and water dispenser, and very well stocked with cookware and utensils. There were many useful dry-goods staples left by previous guests. The hot tub was fantastic- the kids loved it after playing in the snow. Close to Homewood and Glanilbakken (fantastic, little ski resort with an awesome sledding hill reasonably priced--$12-15 per day includes sled rental-- although I am sure locals know of good sledding hills for free). The backyard was great for playing in the snow, making a snowman and having snowball fights! Beds were comfortable, but would have been nice if a down comforter were provided for every bed (the bunk beds each had one, but not for the King bed). We has a great time and would recommend this house.

I appreciated the soaps & shampoos that were provided. The instructions for after-hours key pick-up were clear & the process was straightforward. Very nice property. Just a few minor things would have improved our stay. The televisions are quite outdated, without an HDMI input for our Roku or Amazon TV. As a safety issue, it would be good to rotate the spa cover 90 degrees so that the occupants of the spa can be seen from indoors. Also, a trash can for recyclables would be nice. Overall, we really enjoyed your property and will likely return soon.

Nice that you were open during the Memorial Day weekend. More deck space and chairs instead of benches for the dining room table would be better. The downstairs toilet didn't seem to work correctly. Kitchen knives could be sharper. Dishwasher door didn't close properly.

The house was great, cozy and spacious. Bedding and pillows could use a refresh. The master bedrooms pillows had no more plush in them and the blankets were very thin for winter. The house was very clean, kitchen well stocked which was appreciated, as we did all of our own cooking between hitting the slopes.
