This trail is world renowned among 4x4 enthusiasts. The Rubicon Trail is an extreme 4x4 rock crawling trail located near Lake Tahoe high in the California Sierra Nevada Mountains. The trail is an incredibly beautiful approximately 12 mile stretch of incredibly scenic and very rocky county road that is rated 10 out of a scale of 10 or "most difficult" and is known as the "Granddaddy of all off highway trails county road." Be warned, this trail is for experienced drivers who have made the necessary aftermarket alterations to their 4x4s.
