Description

**DOGS CONSIDERED**

This rustic mountain chalet is very close to downtown Tahoe City, yet far enough out of town to experience a relaxing getaway! The home features a nice outdoor hot tub on the side deck overlooking the nursery and woodsy setting, with a gas grill (summer only) and low, fenced-in backyard, great for a little dog or one that doesn't like to jump. The interior offers high cathedral ceilings, slate floors, and a big rock fireplace all make this property a cozy retreat. The lower level features a sunken living room with a porthole window, complete with TV/DVD, HD cable package, and Bluetooth speaker. An open floor plan offers a dining area with a large new dining table with seating for 6 and picture windows. The kitchen features knotty pine paneling, tiled counter tops, a wet bar, and counter stools.

Each of the two downstairs bedrooms have queen beds, with a fully renovated hall bathroom. The master bedroom is up the spiral staircase and features a queen bed and an updated 3/4 bath.

Only a 1/2 mile walk or bike to town along the bike path. This is a great spot for 6 guests who want to be near the action in Tahoe City!

Wireless internet provided but not guaranteed.

Must be at least 25 years old to rent.

Prior approval is required to bring more than one dog to any dog-friendly property. All dogs must be at least one year old and must not be left unattended at the property unless crate trained. No pets other than dogs are allowed at any of our pet-friendly properties (no cats, birds, ferrets, etc.).

*PLEASE NOTE: If you are bringing a dog to our dog friendly property there is an additional fee of $100+tax.

Our properties do not have air conditioning.

BBQs are not provided during winter months (November to Memorial Day)

The property was the perfect size for my family of 5 people. The location is great a close to Tahoe city and the Palisades ski resorts. Enjoyed walking to the lake and up to the Granlibakken sledding area. All of the bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchen all functioned as expected.

This home was the right size for my extended family. The greatest feature was it’s pet friendly. My son’s dogs enjoyed the patio and lawn space to hang out while we were hanging out.

This was a really cool little cabin in a location that's close to a lot of activities, grocery store, restaurants, etc. However, they conveniently left out some of the negatives in the listing. For example, the pics make it look as though this is in a secluded location and it is NOT. It has a jacuzzi and it technically works except half the water jets were missing. That said, we enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked with pots pans etc and a wide range of utensils which made making meals easy, and there where plenty of towels, pillows and linens provided for a comfortable stay. Would recommend, but if the jacuzzi was the draw for you, you might be a bit disappointed.

This cabin was the perfect place for our family to rest and relax after biking, skiing, and attending event at Palisades. The layout accommodated 5 of us comfortably and the fenced back yard was perfect for storing bikes out of sight. TV setup was awesome for late night movies too. It’s nice, not too fancy and very homey. Would definitely stay again!

A very good rental option but MGMT should provide a manual for the TV/Cable/sound system. Fireplace tools were all broken. MGMT delivered a new poker. Conflicting info on trash pickup- notices said Friday & Tuesday. Good selection of pots/pans except no small sauce pot. Mgmt also delivered a 2nd shovel for epic snowfall so, they were responsive.

This is a nice property, but it does need some TLC. The appliances work, but are old. Gas stove and oven tricky to use. Kitchen missing some basic items, dishwasher detergent, hot pads, no potato peeler. Call the office right away if you're missing something. We chose to purchase what we needed because office was closed. Carpet was stained. Beautiful slate floors and woodwork, lovely windows, but the windows need cleaning. Our guests said the downstairs beds were too firm and uncomfortable. The pros: Close to bike trail and downtown. Walking distance to health food store and Tahoe House Bakery. Nice deck and perfect place to bring a pet with the little fenced backyard. Bathrooms were clean with lovely tile and plenty of hot water if you like a very hot bubble bath (which I do!) Probably won't rent any more dog-friendly homes since we don't bring a pet. Maybe that explains the dirty carpet.

Pros: close to bike path and downtown shops, walking distance to health food store and Tahoe House (which is a gem of a bakery and deli) beautiful slate floors, lovely tile, nice deck, hot tub, and fenced yard for a pet. Cons: kitchen not well-stocked, as in no dishwasher detergent, hot pads; carpets in bedrooms dirty, uncomfortable beds downstairs, older appliances, dirty windows and floor, although the bathrooms were nice and clean. Would not stay here again. .

We stayed at this cabin for Thanksgiving. The cabin is very pretty, cozy and more or less well kept. The beds are quite uncomfortable, the kitchen needs newer appliances and more supplies. The stove and oven are good, though the oven is a bit tricky. Carpets need cleaning. Otherwise, a nice setup, well distributed, bathrooms clean and comfortable, quiet surroundings, very beautiful forest.

The house was perfect for two couples and two dogs, and we so enjoyed the large dining table and hot tub out on the deck. Very comfortable beds and we really appreciated the tiled floor rather than carpet since it was heavy snow and a lot of water gets tracked inside. Kitchen was well stocked, although the lighting was on the darker side in that specific area. The couches were comfy and though we loved the idea of the fireplace, we never managed to get a good one going, as it kept going out :( so that was disappointing. The tall ceilings and large windows made it seem so open and spacious. We'd def rent again at this location. The dining table was lovely, but needs some protective place-mats as I can see it getting scratched up easily with a lot of use.

We had a wonderful stay. There was epic snow while we were there and the driveway was always cleared. Thank you for that! My only suggestions are that you update the key situation--we were expecting extra keys inside and were worried when we didn't find them. Also, the hot tub jets seemed weak and we found a couple shards of glass on the bottom. Otherwise we had a great stay. Thank you. You were very responsive to all of our questions.
