Meet Our Vacation Rental Group

Since our establishment in 1966, agents and specialists have come and gone, but our current team boasts over 50 years of combined experience. Co-owners Dan Hauserman and Russ Baruh have established a diverse group, and we hope you enjoy getting to know us a bit better, and put a face to a name. We also hope you’ll explore our recommendations and advice for a great “local” experience!

Susan Grigoleit

Bio:

Our longest-standing Tahoe local, Susan has been with HRG since 1988 when there was only 1 computer and no website. Devoted but still fun-loving, Susan enjoys sharing her adventurous stories of growing up in North Lake Tahoe with her sister Monica who manages the Cobblestone Center, and brother Ulf, who supervises the landscaping and snow-removal.

Susan often wakes up before the crack of dawn to run with her dog Bella, skate-ski at the Nordic Center, mountain bike through Page Meadows, or skin up Rubicon Peak and ski down with her husband Jim, a local electrician. She throws fabulous dinner parties and loves entertaining. Always planning something fun, Susan keeps the pulse of the office in “make it happen” mode. She keeps the bank balanced, and the office operational.

Jessica has lived in Lake Tahoe for more than a decade. Originally from Minnesota, she is an avid hiker and Minnesota Twins fan. In the winter you’ll find her out snowboarding, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing. If you have any questions about the outdoors, Jessica’s the one to ask!

Dana Lipsky

Bio:

A North Lake Tahoe native, Sean is happy to have a great year-round job. Sean enjoys skiing, biking, and fishing. He grew up here in Tahoe City in Lake Forest, and most likely served you breakfast at the Firesign Café or sold you a lift ticket at Homewood Ski Resort. Sean worked at Homewood for eight of the last ten ski seasons (as of 2014). He has explored extensively; ask him for some tips about the West Shore Gem Resort. During the summer months you will find Sean shore-side at Skylandia Beach, playing tennis, or out fishing for trout. Give him a call and trade fish-tales or bike-routes while you book your reservation.

When he’s away from the office you can find him high in the mountains or out paddling on the lake. He is joined on these adventures with his lovely wife, Heather and their dog, Raven. Some of his favorite adventures include circumnavigating Lake Tahoe by kayak. He has also circumnavigated the entire country in a camper van visiting 31 states in 31 days. The 10,000 mile journey included our nations most iconic parks and monuments. In 2016 he married Heather atop a mountain vista overlooking the Sierra Nevada mountains at the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest. They spent a month on their honeymoon in Europe visiting Copenhagen, The Netherlands, Paris, Northern Italy and Southern France, dining at the best restaurant and exploring museums and ancient places. Next on the agenda is exploring the Himalayas…

Danielle M.J. Poret

Bio:

Danielle moved to Tahoe, sight-unseen, 48 hours after graduating from Loyola University in Chicago. Having grown up on the central coast in Santa Cruz, she knew she’d feel back at home in CA, and has enjoyed the beauty of the Sierras since summer 2005!

Joining the team at Hauserman was a blessing in the Fall of 2006, as the Rental Groupies continued to be her main reason for staying in the mountains until she settled down in Alpine Meadows with her lift-mechanic boyfriend Ozzy and German Shepherd, Kaylee.
