About Squaw Valley
Located in North Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley USA became world famous when it hosted the Winter Olympics in 1960. Located only six miles northwest of Tahoe City and 13 miles south of Truckee, Alpine Meadows is recognized as one of North America’s top ski resorts. The resort is known for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere as well as seven powder bowls, summit to base groomed trails, and of course the breathtaking scenery of Lake Tahoe. With a total of 100 designated runs over 2,400 acres, Alpine Meadows is home to acclaimed terrain for beginner, intermediate, and expert skiers. Favored by locals and visitors from afar, live music and après-ski events are fairly common during the season. Receiving an average annual snowfall of 495 inches, there is always an abundance of fresh powder to play in.

Ski Resort Parking
Squaw Valley offers 4,200 free parking spaces. For vehicles with over three passengers, a free carpool lot with 800 first-come, first-serve premium parking spots is available as well. Alpine Meadows offers 1,525 free, general parking spaces. Overflow parking is available as well.
In addition to their free parking at both resorts, Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows offers a free shuttle service between the two mountains so you can ski at both resorts in just one day!
