Garret's Place is a wonderful retreat for 4 couples or a close group of friends and family. Private setting with panoramic forest views, very quiet and peaceful, and close to wonderful hiking and biking (or snowshoe/XC) trails.

Plush new living room furnishings and an overhaul on the kitchen have given fresh atmosphere to this large contemporary 2-story home. New 50" Smart TV with wireless internet, gas fireplace, large deck with hot tub and new gas grill, brand new couch with all the fixings, new easy chairs and kitchen counter stools. Sunny and cheerful, Garret's Place features panoramic forest view with a peek of the lake. Dining table for 10, well-appointed kitchen. 3/4 bath in hallway.

Master bedroom upstairs with King bed, TV, (gas fireplace in master is currently unavailable), and full bath with Jacuzzi tub (doesn't always work)/shower; guest bedroom also upstairs with Queen bed.

Downstairs (entry level) is the Laundry room, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (1 with tub, 1 with shower only): the two beautiful bedrooms have new Queen beds and forested views. This home just received a makeover with all new beds, dining room table, TVs, linens, towels and even paint. The house looks great!

2 car garage, house is located in a cul-de-sac, but in the winter don't park in the street! We recommend 4 wheel drive in winter, as Talmont is not always easily accessible- 12% grade hill to climb/descend.

CHAINS OR SNOW TIRES ARE REQUIRED IN WINTER. THE ELEVATION IN TAHOE CITY IS 6,250 FEET. IT IS 7,000 FEET AT THE CABIN. THIS MEANS YOU CLIMB 750 FEET IN THE 2 MILES BETWEEN PINE AVE. AND THE TALMONT NEIGHBORHOOD. PLEASE BE SURE TO READ OUR WINTER DISCLOSURE, PROVIDED WITH A RENTAL CONTRACT ONCE A RESERVATION IS MADE.

BBQs are not provided during winter months (November to Memorial Day)

The house was wonderful and spacious! Great location! My son said he felt like he was in a treehouse! We love the big sectional sofa! It was great for watching some March Madness basketball! The double washer and dryer was super handy for ski clothes, and we loved that every bedroom had their own bathroom. We would definitely stay again!

We had a great time! The place was beautiful and clean The hot tub was amazing and worked great. Instructions were very clear. I really appreciate how available the team was to answer my questions when we arrived, as well as when we had issues with the wifi. The only minor issue was that the wifi wasn't super reliable for working remotely; it seemed to cut in and out. But if you are just going to be on vacation, it was perfect.

Wonderful house for our extended family, Plenty of room for six adults and two kids. Good well equipped kitchen, nice furniture, great deck and hot tub. A couple of very minor improvements: a new can opener, potholders, dishtowels, spare light bulbs. Also some way of screen out out the sun on a hot day (blinds or shades), but keep the nice views of the trees when the sun has shifted. Still, Garrets Place provided a great time for our family.

Overall the place was great and plenty of room. The master bathroom needs a deep cleaning and a new shower head. Also the front door needs to be fixed as the door doesn’t stay shut unless you use the dead bolt.

Great stay. Fireplace didn't work. Offer to fix required a 2 hour empty house. Couldn't do that with 3 kids. So declined. More bath towels would be nice, but we managed. All else was in good order and we had a great Thanksgiving week.

This home is delightful and well appointed. We are crazy about the large comfortable living area and wish to thank you for such a comfortable mattress in the master bedroom. We would applaud any upgrades made to the kitchen in the future. This location is a delightful stay. We loved the location, the comfortable living space, and the sizable hot tub. The beds are comfortable and we really appreciated the double washers and dryers. We will definitely stay here again! We love this location! There are a few tips that would be useful: 1. At least 1 additional roll of TP in each bathroom. 2. Replace large fry pans -- they are peeling Tefalon, which is dangerous to ingest. 3. A few more water glasses would be nice 4. I dream of sharp knives at a rental

Garrett Place was one reason our vacation was so nice......we chose this cabin due to the location, my husband enjoys mountain biking in Paige Meadows. The cabin was spacious, clean and decorated nicely. We will be coming back next year!!! P.S. Please add cleaning products to kitchen (409, comet etc.) so we can keep your kitchen clean.
