**DOGS CONSIDERED**

This warm and comfortable cabin is located in the quiet and tranquil West Shore neighborhood of Tahoma, just 15 minutes from Tahoe City. You will have a wonderful Tahoe experience here, with easy access to great hiking, biking, skiing, and of course, the turquoise blue lake.

Great for skiers: This property is just 2 miles from Homewood Ski Resort and 10 miles from the Alpine Meadows’ Sherwood Express chair lift on the West Shore. Olympic Valley, home of the 1960 winter Olympics, is just 15 miles away.
Great for hikers: A serene forest is just a few steps down the road with incredible hikes and views. If you prefer to hike to the lake, Chamber’s Landing public beach is just one mile away.
Great for families: There is lots of room for the kiddos to play in the yard, inside, or on the back deck. The main floors are hardwood, and the bedrooms have carpet. The cabin is on a large wooded lot with sunny exposure. Open the windows for some of that crisp, fresh Tahoe air.

Each bedroom features something special: The large downstairs California King bedroom has its own private deck, walk-in closet, washer/dryer, office area with interesting reads, and an updated en suite bathroom. Crate and Barrel linens and a down comforter and pillows make for that rest and recovery you’re looking for. The comfortable mattress is new and from Avocado Green Mattress, made with natural and organic materials that are sure to leave you feeling well rested.

The upper-level bedroom offers another comfortable California King bed with a down comforter and pillows in addition to a TV opposite the bed for that late-night movie or morning news. Opposite the top-level bedroom is a bunkroom your kids will love, featuring two sets of bunk beds, a TV, and a closet full of kid’s books, games and movies.

The top floor features another large deck, a recently remodeled kitchen with a 6-burner gas stove and oven, and a lovely dining room with eight chairs around an Austrian plank table, or bar stool seating for your friends or family to enjoy. The living area has recently been furnished with a new, cozy plush sofa and chairs, a high-definition flat screen with Cable TV, Wi-fi, a Blu-Ray DVD player, CD player, stereo, and fast-broadband internet.

A wood burning fireplace adds to the ambiance and the sunny deck is complete with a propane BBQ, a table with umbrella and seating for six, and two lounge chairs to bask in the sunlight.

The second level also has a recently remodeled full bathroom with a jetted tub, two sinks, and a separate well-lit vanity area. For winter months, use the downstairs entry with a quartz-tiled mudroom with plenty of room for your ski gear and coats. This home is not suitable for large groups or parties. 1 dog allowed.

Must be at least 25 years old to rent.

All dogs must be at least one year old and must not be left unattended at the property unless crate trained. No pets other than dogs are allowed at any of our pet-friendly properties (no cats, birds, ferrets, etc.).

*PLEASE NOTE: If you are bringing a dog to our dog friendly property there is an additional fee of $100+tax per dog.

Our properties do not have air conditioning.

Please note that this property has a noise devise that monitors excessively loud noises per county compliance.

BBQs are not provided during winter months (November to Memorial Day)

Parking available for no more than 3 vehicles - must park in driveway

Was a cozy well equipped unit with thoughtful touches. Our group was 3 adults plus a large dog. Best part was that you could walk only a few feet and have access to extensive trails and fun hikes in the snow.

The house is spacious and cozy; you can tell that the owners stay frequently. Big comfortable king size beds for sleeping and reading with your morning coffee. Or, like me I stand in front of the windows watching the sun come up over the trees.
And a big plus, cable TV, one hardly sees it and I consider it a big plus to get regional news.

It’s not often that we want to stay somewhere longer than the duration of our planned stay, but staying at Goetzl was so spectacular we easily would have stayed for longer. Everything was exactly as was depicted in the photos; it was essentially a cozy, showroom-esque cabin. It was so peaceful, unbelievably quiet, and the view from the patio was lovely! Everything we needed was provided, and the layout of the rooms and content of the kitchen were well thought out. The firewood was a bit damp, but we bought some duralogs and fire starter, and that did the trick to get everything going! We left one duralog, an extra lighter, and a box of fire starter to help make things easier for anyone staying after us. Highly recommend staying here. We hope to be back soon!

we really appreciated the fireplace prep, which was unexpected.
(On the other hand, the TV instructions were obtuse, and required some messing around to figure out. But we did see the Niner game.

We had a great stay at the Goetzl cabin in Tahoma. The location is great! The lot next door is a Tahoe Conservancy lot so the cabin is quiet and private. The kitchen was well stocked and even had sharp knives for cooking! We enjoyed the deck and used the BBQ which was also very clean. We hiked Mt. Tallac while we were there and also went to Meek's Beach which are close to the cabin. Chamber's Landing was about a 20 minute walk which was also nice. We really enjoyed our experience and would definitely stay here again!

We love the Goetzl House! It's only our second time staying here and it already feels like our home. It's comfortable and homey. The beds and bedding are exceptional for a vacation rental. Nice quality towels, gas stove. It just works for us. We love the big deck and the proximity to beautiful hiking, right out the door. Thank you Goetzl family for making your Tahoe home available to stay in. We'll never rent any other as long as you do!

WE ARE ALWAYS GLAD TO STAY WITH YOU GUYS. COZY AND GREAT LOCATION FOR SNOWSHOES. THE BEDS ARE COMFORTABLE WHICH IS A BIG DEAL FOR US. JUST THE COUCH IS GETTING A HOLE IN IT ON THE SEAT. WORN OUT! WILL BE STAYING HERE NEXT TIME WE COME.

This is obviously an older home and not a highly upgraded one, but for the price and the location, it is a very good choice. The owners have made every effort to make it comfortable and convenient to use; it's a great dog setup; and it's very clean. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the house is light and bright and airy. I have stayed here many times over the years and I look forward to coming back. There's a really nice \vibe\" in this home that suggests it's a much-loved family retreat."""
