**DOGS CONSIDERED**

This exquisite executive retreat is everything a vacation rental home in Tahoe should be.

Enter on the mid-level through a mudroom, which opens to the stairwell landing. Several steps up opens into a grand living room, dining room, and kitchen. Spacious floorplan with White Oak hardwood floors and rich wood accents. Plenty of entertaining space with dining table for 8-10, granite kitchen island, buffet bar, stainless appliances and drawer pulls, Professional Series Frigidaire range, oven, and all of the conveniences of your home kitchen. Living room made comfy with gas fireplace, 55 inch HDTV, love seat, chair and couch. Sliding door leads out to side deck with gas grill and outdoor dining table (both available in summer only). 1/2 bath off kitchen.

Great room opens to sunroom with sofa, lounge chair, and card table plus games and puzzles.

Upstairs master bedroom with King, small walk-in closet, flat screen HDTV, and door out to private deck. Granite countertops, twin sinks, glass shower, and Kohler soaking tub.

Downstairs, second master bedroom with CA King and two huge mirrored closets which reflect the abundance of natural light from a multitude of windows! Whitewashed pine ceiling with open rafters, Flat screen HDTV, window seat and a twin size fold out bed. Twin sinks with marble counters, glass block wall trim, glass shower with pebble floor. Double French doors open to second sunroom with sofabed, chair, HDTV with DVD player and more puzzles and games.

Hardwood hallway floor leads to three more bedrooms and two bathrooms plus laundry room. Both full bathrooms downstairs with marble counters and shower/tub. First bedroom on the right with Double bed. Back bedroom with Queen bed with lots of windows and natural light. Third bedroom off hallway with double bed, cool colors, vanity. Door off hallway leads to back steps outside and hot tub!

Accommodating up to 10 people, this dog-friendly home has enough room to relax as a group, and never feel crowded. 2 car garage makes parking a breeze. High-speed internet access and satellite TV are included (but not guaranteed) to make your stay even more plush.

Must be at least 25 years old to rent.

Prior approval is required to bring more than one dog to any dog-friendly property. All dogs must be at least one year old and must not be left unattended at the property unless crate trained. No pets other than dogs are allowed at any of our pet-friendly properties (no cats, birds, ferrets, etc.).

*PLEASE NOTE: If you are bringing a dog to our dog friendly property there is an additional fee of $100+tax per dog.

Our properties do not have air conditioning.

Please note that this property has a noise devise that monitors excessively loud noises per county compliance.

BBQs are not provided during winter months (November to Memorial Day)

Overall it was fine, lots of room and bathrooms, the kitchen was great. The lighting in the living areas was subpar and too dark for us. We cook a lot and the pots and pans were in bad shape. The two full beds weren't very comfortable and it seems if you aren't going to have bedside tables, queen beds would be nice. Don't mean to complain too much, it was overall a nice stay.

I found the rental through VRBO initially, but I am so glad I went through the actual rental group for my stay. They were very organized and easy to work with. The house is beautiful and was just the perfect size for my family of 9. Everyone got a bedroom and there were plenty of bathrooms. I would highly recommend this rental stay for a big family to enjoy their trip. 10/10

This rental was the 4th Christmas in Tahoe for our extended family. The rental amount for Highland Lodge was twice what I have paid for the 2 previous Tahoe rentals of almost identical size therefore I expected a higher level of quality in furnishings, kitchen equipment, bedding and above all cleanliness. I requested an early check in but was told that there were renters leaving the morning of our arrival and the cleaning staff would need time to clean and Covid cleaning protocols are in place. Unfortunately the cleaning was not what it should have been.
When we checked in at 4pm it was apparent that there was very little cleaning that had been done. The area rug in the upstairs living room had been vacuumed, kitchen counters & sink appeared clean and bathroom sinks look clean.
TV remotes for each TV were filthy, dust and cobwebs throughout, coffee table was wobbly, hardwood floors and bedroom rugs very dirty, hair & debris in silverware drawer, cookware worn out, we had to slam the microwave door to get it to work, drips down front of stove, hood exhaust fans caked with grease, stair handrails not connected to wall on one end, shower doors filthy, bed pillows completely flat, mattresses worn out, previous renters underwear & socks in dresser drawer, used bandaid found on upstairs master bedroom floor, hair in bathtubs, small couch in downstairs master bedroom disgustingly stained.
We had a loss of hot water and the property management/repair staff were extremely polite, responsive and sent a repairman within an hour to resolve the problem.
While the property it self is great for large groups until the cleaning issues and upgrades in beds and furnishings are addressed I would not recommend this property. To be fair I sent an email to the property management detailing with photos the issues we encountered to afford them the opportunity to check the property themselves and correct things. I requested a refund of the cleaning fee and was granted the ref

Great property and location. Ample parking, large open spaces, hot tub worked well. Kitchen could have been better stocked…zip locks, tin foil, Saran Wrap, Tupperware…etc. Also would be nice to provide, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash…bathroom basics. Soap provided smelled great!

Love, love, love the location of the lodge! Just a few minutes away from the beach, shopping area and restaurants. Convenient that the lodge had several bathrooms and two master bedrooms!! Loved the openness of the kitchen. A few dust bunnies here and there and outside patio by the hot tub needed some sweeping but overall very happy with its cleanliness.

Our stay was wonderful! House is spacious, with room to spread out, and also have separate living spaces if desired.
We would suggest possibly some ceiling fans in the upstairs kitchen and living area, just to keep the airflow moving. Would have helped keep us cooler

The Highlands Lodge was a perfect winter ski lease (and pandemic escape!). Very spacious for three families and a dog, big kitchen for some apres-ski feasts and hot tub to relax. We very much enjoyed the two sun rooms, to relax but also for work-from-home. Cross country skiing and winter walks close by. Great house, great memories! Big thank also at Kerry and everyone at Hauserman!

Excellent house. The big master bathroom downstairs with a sliding door didn't close as the latch was not working properly. There were no bath mats in some bathroom. One of the master bedroom didn't have clean linens. The dishwasher didn't work properly with the detergent tab getting stuck in it and not cleaning as a result. The keyholder was hard to find at first as it's out of view. All of us enjoyed staying at the house as the location and amenities were very good. Would definitely keep this place in mind for our next visit as well as recommend it to other friends
