Every summer we come to West Shore to enjoy three days at the Lake. These past few years we have stayed at O’Brien’s Den, and because it has met our needs, we always rent it again the following year. This year was no exception. Quiet, no surprises, easy access, clean and comfortable.

We really enjoyed this beautifully decorated cabin. It’s located in a lovely, quiet and friendly neighborhood. It’s within walking distance of the Tahoma Market and a coffee/gelato place that we like to visit.
It is protected by bear fencing as are most of the homes in the neighborhood. It was easy enough to use but care would need to be taken with small kids.
The kitchen was very well stocked. It has a single cup coffee maker but no coffee pot. The beds were extremely comfortable, the home was sparkling clean. This lovely home was a great size for the two of us but I think any more than two would be tight.

Comfortable home.

I had a great overall experience with this rental during my first visit to Tahoe. The place was a great base for adventuring around the lake and maintaining and peaceful, local atmosphere. Sugar Pine park was a short walk with an uncrowded calm beach away from majority of tourists. Will be visiting again! Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at O'Brien's Den. The cabin is very modern and in a nice quiet location near Sugar Pine. It also has a nice backyard area that isn't displayed in any of the pictures. My only complaint is that the rooms are quite small, not much storage space for luggage or clothes or room for walking. We are a family of three so it worked out fine for us, for any family much bigger you might find the rooms too small.

The cabin itself was in a beautiful area and was easy to find. Neighbors were great and it was pretty nice inside. Plenty of room for my family of 5 needs. Only real issue was when we arrived there was no bunk bed like it was supposed to have. So my kids had to sleep on an air mattress and the couch. The management sent out the air mattress quickly but it was still an inconvenience. They were going to look into getting me a discount but I have not heard a word since the first night.

It was absolutely lovely, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect landing pad for our family. We usually stay at our family cabin on Harris Ave, but extended family was using it this time and we needed an overflow cabin for ourselves. With a convenient walk to our family's place, as well as many conveniences we don't normally enjoy in Tahoe (wifi, bigscreen TV, etc) we will definitely consider renting here again if you will have us!

We loved the stay. I was looking for cottage type of property for kids to experience and we got just that. We loved the cottage feel yet with new modern smart features. Heated bathroom floor and smart fireplace was amazing! Property was clean and looked brand new. Surrounding was perfect for snow play. We didn't have to go far to play in the snow so that was very nice. Minor observation, I found a little odd that there was no covering or window treatment on the front door. At night when we have our lights on, we can see clearly into the house down to the hallway. A bit lack of privacy. We hung garbage bag over at night. Carpet in front of the fireplace was shedding a lot. Beds were not very comfortable to sleep on but again these are minor compared to all the fun we had. Big bonus; WiFi and TV worked without fail. Nice for kids when packing up!
