Gorgeous Lake Views! 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom duplex unit in Talmont Estates neighborhood on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, only 3 miles from Tahoe City. Wifi boosters for strong, reliable internet make it easy to work from home. EV car charger on site! Situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, Weathertop is surrounded by serene pine forest and offers spectacular lake views. Very close to hiking and biking trailheads. Access to the popular Tahoe Park HOA beach and amenities is included with this rental.
DOG-FRIENDLY with prior approval.

Bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 - Mid-level, King, the "Lake Room"
Bedroom 2 - Mid-level, King, the "Pinecone Room"
Bedroom 3 - Mid-level, Queen, the "Aviary Room"
Bedroom 4 - Lower-level bunk room, 2 Twins, the "Bear Den"

Must be at least 25 years old to rent.

Prior approval is required to bring more than one dog to any dog-friendly property. All dogs must be at least one year old and must not be left unattended at the property unless crate trained. No pets other than dogs are allowed at any of our pet-friendly properties (no cats, birds, ferrets, etc.).

*PLEASE NOTE: If you are bringing a dog to our dog friendly property there is an additional fee of $100+tax per dog.

Our properties do not have air conditioning.

BBQs are not provided during winter months (November to Memorial Day)

CHAINS OR SNOW TIRES ARE OFTEN REQUIRED IN WINTER. THE ELEVATION IN TAHOE CITY IS 6,250 FEET. IT IS 7,000 FEET AT THE CABIN. THIS MEANS YOU CLIMB 750 FEET IN THE 2 MILES BETWEEN PINE AVE. AND THE TALMONT NEIGHBORHOOD. THIS HOME IS BEST ACCESSED WITH 4-WHEEL OR ALL-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES. PLEASE BE SURE TO READ OUR WINTER DISCLOSURE, PROVIDED WITH A RENTAL CONTRACT ONCE A RESERVATION IS MADE.

THE COUNTY OF PLACER IMPLEMENTED A NEW SHORT TERM RENTAL ORDINANCE WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR GUESTS TO ABIDE BY. FINES RANGE FROM $1,500- 5,000 AND CAN BE ISSUED TO GUESTS WHO ARE NOT IN COMPLIANCE. A FULL LIST OF RULES IS ATTACHED AS A PHOTO IN THIS LISTING. SOME HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:
•QUIET HOURS ARE FROM 9PM TO 8AM. NO NOISE SHALL BE HEARD ACROSS PROPERTY LINES. NO OUTDOOR SPEAKERS OR AMPLIFIED SOUND ARE TO BE USED AT ANY TIME.
•DOGS MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES WHEN OUTSIDE OF A PROPERTY AND ALL PET WASTE NEEDS TO BE PICKED UP.

The home was just as advertised with no surprises! The kitchen and the deck overlooking the lake were both well outfitted... and the rest of the home was nicely furnished as well. As an aside, we have rented previously with Airbnb, VRBO, and Hauserman, but Hauserman outshines the others by their very kind and responsive service personnel... Thank you Lisa, Cory, Katie and Scott!

Dramatic forest views, lovely lake view and high-end features throughout this house make it a very special place whose owners have made the most of the beautiful, quiet location.

A sun-damaged couch and ottoman made an iffy first impression, but it quickly became clear that this was in fact a very comfortable, clean and indeed charming home.

On the negative side, we couldn't get into the house at first because of a confusing lockbox setup which the helpful owner of the other side of the duplex ultimately helped us with; and my poor dog, rushing ahead, got zapped by the electrified front door mat before I could turn it off. Also, the inside stairs are very steep and not well suited to seniors.

Aside from that, this is a lovely place- I especially liked the "bird" bedroom with its dramatic views and bird-decorated bed frame, and the gated front deck which is good for the dog. Many thanks to the owners for sharing this home!

Beautiful home with views of Lake Tahoe on all 3 levels of home. Plenty of room for 8 people. Nice and comfortable decor. Even though it was a duplex, we never had problems with noise from next door neighbors. House was on end of street with forests on one side. The rental is dog friendly and you have access to private HOA beach, however dogs are not allowed at the members only private beach so that was a little disappointing. Overall excellent property that is perfectly situated in quiet neighborhood with lovely views of lake. House was well stocked with kitchen supplies and bath towels. We will definitely be back!!

Great stay, easy to get to and the views are incredible. We rented a boat for the weekend along with this place and it was an unforgettable experience.

Amazing ski winter rental

I stayed at this ski lease from December to May, and it was a fantastic experience overall. The house was spacious, with amazing lake views and plenty of sunshine. The temperature control was excellent, and the owner was responsive and helpful. The appliances, dishwasher, and huge TV worked great, and the furniture was comfy. The beds and heated blankets were cozy. The location was perfect, with easy access to the slopes and even an EV charger.There were a few downsides worth mentioning. The road up to the house could be challenging during heavy snowfall, even with a good car. The internet was sometimes unreliable, and the water control system was more complicated than it needed to be. The fireplace had occasional issues, and the trash bin could get buried easily. Lastly, be aware of bears in the area.Despite these very minor drawbacks, I highly recommend this ski lease for a wonderful winter getaway.

The house was plenty of space for 8 guests over the Thanksgiving holiday and a gorgeous view. The kitchen is a little small, especially if you plan on cooking a thanksgiving dinner. The inside stairs are very steep and are in a weird location therefore it make the upstairs feel a little smaller than it looks. The beds were very comfortable and we liked the added touches like the phone chargers and electric blankets. A couple issues: the shower heads need to be cleaned, they are clogged up and don't have great pressure and one of toilet flushers was disconnected. Also, I would not allow pets or small children on the second floor balcony, there is lots of space beneath the railing for them to fall. We loved the quick access to the Tahoe Rim Trail right behind the property!
