Sweet dreams are made of these: A prime Tahoe City location, "Olde Tahoe" log cabin charm, space for up to 8 guests plus a well-behaved dog. This adorable cabin is in a quiet pine forest setting, yet just moments away from shops, restaurants, Commons Beach, hiking and biking trails, world class skiing and snowboarding, and all that Lake Tahoe has to offer.

Enter from the spacious deck into the living area featuring a large wood-burning fireplace and flat screen TV. Fully equipped kitchen offers all the modern conveniences and seating for 6 at the dining table plus 2 on barstools at an adjacent nook. Fully updated bathroom at one end of the kitchen and doorway to the family room at the other end. Family room provides plenty of extra space for gathering with plush seating and large flat screen TV. There's even a spacious desk for those who must tend to work life. The first level of the house also has a Queen bedroom with TV.

Two more bedrooms upstairs; one with King bed and the other with a Queen and Twin trundle bed. TVs in both bedrooms. Fully updated bathroom in between the two bedrooms.

Paved parking area with plenty of space for 3 cars. Easy walking distance into Tahoe City.

Must be at least 25 years old to rent.

Prior approval is required to bring more than one dog to any dog-friendly property. All dogs must be at least one year old and must not be left unattended at the property unless crate trained. No pets other than dogs are allowed at any of our pet-friendly properties (no cats, birds, ferrets, etc.).

*PLEASE NOTE: If you are bringing a dog to our dog friendly property there is an additional fee of $100+tax.

Our properties do not have air conditioning.

BBQs are not provided during winter months (November to Memorial Day)

CHAINS OR SNOW TIRES ARE OFTEN REQUIRED IN WINTER. PLEASE BE SURE TO READ OUR WINTER DISCLOSURE, PROVIDED WITH A RENTAL CONTRACT ONCE A RESERVATION IS MADE.

ON MARCH 11TH 2022, THE COUNTY OF PLACER IMPLEMENTED A NEW SHORT TERM RENTAL ORDINANCE WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR GUESTS TO ABIDE BY. FINES RANGE FROM $1,500- 5,000 AND CAN BE ISSUED TO GUESTS WHO ARE NOT IN COMPLIANCE. A FULL LIST OF RULES IS ATTACHED AS A PHOTO IN THIS LISTING. SOME HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:
•QUIET HOURS ARE FROM 9PM TO 8AM. NO NOISE SHALL BE HEARD ACROSS PROPERTY LINES. NO OUTDOOR SPEAKERS OR AMPLIFIED SOUND ARE TO BE USED AT ANY TIME.
•DOGS MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES WHEN OUTSIDE OF A PROPERTY AND ALL PET WASTE NEEDS TO BE PICKED UP.

Once again, the property exceeded our expectations and the Hauserman group did too. The folks before use had damaged the oven. A replacement part arrived the next day and was expertly installed by Hauserman maintenance. As for the property, Sweet Dreams lived up to its name. We will be back!

We absolutely loved this house. It was comfortable, clean and conveniently located. Our only wish is that the outdoor spa be replaced or repaired. The motor is really noisy, runs for long periods of time and goes on and off throughout the day/night.

We had a great stay at Sweet Dreams. The location is outstanding. It’s an easy stroll into Tahoe City. The cabin has everything we needed including gas BBQ and hot tub. It was very clean and well maintained. The check in process was easy and convenient. We would definitely recommend staying here.

This was the second time our group of 5 stayed at Sweet Dreams & it was great! Unusually cold weather for June with 2 very rainy days so we used the fireplace rather than the hot tub this time! Took lovely neighborhood walks between downpours & enjoyed Tahoe City. Even completed a jigsaw puzzle! Hope to return again!

Rented for a girls weekend getaway. We all enjoyed the amenities, cabin and location! Lovely mornings on the deck, walking distance to town for the afternoon and great games/fire in the fireplace in the evenings. Shockingly enough, we didn't end up using the hot tub, but plan to if there again in the future. Only thing we were missing was a speaker for music, as we had all forgotten to bring one - if there was one there, we missed it. Luckily we found music on the TV via Youtube. Would definitely recommend/rent again!

This was a well equipped cabin located within easy walking distance to Tahoe City. The large deck with a hot tub and grill was a plus as was the separate T.V. room located off the main living area. The cabin was tastefully decorated and the beds comfortable. Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay!

Sweet Dreams is the cutest and the absolute coziest cabin ever! I can't think of anything to bring attention to for future renters, other than you'll fall in love with how warm, cozy, and relaxing the entire cabin is. The deck and hot tub were amazing, especially at night with a drink in hand, and winding down from the day. Also, everything in town is only a 5-10 minute 9 (if even that long) walk from the cabin, which was incredible to be able to do since traffic is such a nightmare during the summer months, as well as how limited the parking options are, so that alone saved the sanity of my husband and I lol! My boys also absolutely loved the fact that there was an entire extra living/family room for their nightly video games downstairs with its own door and comfy couches.

Great rental for our family with littles and dogs. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and oils and all the cooking supplies. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were clean. Hot tub under the trees was a big bonus. We even walked to town one evening for dinner! My one complaint has nothing to do with the house, but the neighbors dogs were off leash and bothering our leashed dogs. We asked two neighbors to leash or control their dogs and they both scoffed at us. (I do not know if they were other renters or owners...)

Cabin is very cozy. We enjoyed cooking meals in the well stocked kitchen. Beds were very comfortable which is a big plus for me! The hot tub right outside the door was a big hit. Loved that it was walkable to Tahoe City.

Absolutely loved this cottage. Was quaint and perfect for two families. Very well maintained, looked remodeled recently, but still amazing Tahoe charm. Only comment is the driveway was extremely icey and dangerous. Wished it and the deck (entry way) had been cleared a bit better.
