Fall in Tahoe

Next time you visit The Cobblestone Center, stop by the award winning Trunk Show at the bottom of the stairs. The store is small but packs a punch, with a continuously revolving collection of art and jewelry all created by local artists.

Trunk Show’s wide assortment of cool stuff was assembled together with love by owner Jaclyn Woznicki. Jaclyn has a keen eye for interesting gift ideas, while her energetic and happy personality makes the shopping experience relaxing and fun. Be sure to check out her own jewelry line, Bella Petunia, as well as her Tahoe jewelry creations.

The word is getting around that Trunk Show is a great place to shop. This year it won several awards in the Sierra Sun’s Best of North Tahoe-Truckee contest including Best Gift Shop.

“Our locals have so much talent and the art and products that they make are truly unique. Having the show be awarded is such an honor and it reminds me how lucky I am to work with these amazing artists,” said Woznicki.

Much of the art or jewelry has a Tahoe focus. You will find watercolor paintings, ceramic creations, and cloth products such as napkins with a Tahoe flair. They also feature everything from Tahoe shaped clocks to Tahoe Tea. And the best part is, you are not only finding something fun to take home, but supporting a small scale local artist. Some of what is found in the store, is also available online at tahoetrunkshow.com.

If you are lucky enough to be in Tahoe on the first Friday of the month be sure and be join in the great event that is First Friday’s at The Cobblestone. Jaclyn is usually dishing out some sort of delicious beverage, while one of her favorite artists is working on a new creation out front. Then later you can join in a donation based class at The Yoga Room, or catch the latest offering at the Tahoe Art Haus and Cinema.
