TAHOE CITY OKTOBERFEST 2026

The Tahoe City Oktoberfest is a unique, festive fall celebration that welcomes ALL ages. Experience the ultimate lakeside Oktoberfest celebration at Gatekeeper’s Museum/ William B. Layton State Park in Tahoe City on September 19, 2026 from 12 to 5 p.m.

This exciting, family-friendly event offers Bavarian-themed food options and delicious craft beers brewed by regional breweries, along with Oktoberfest music from Alpine Sound, fun games, and family-friendly activities.

Admission is FREE to everyone. Tickets are required only for the Beer Garden.

Participate in fun games like the Stein squat, Yodel Contest and the Wiener toss. Explore our Vendor Village featuring local artisans and small businesses, plus you can put on your creative hats and get ready to show off your imaginative side by dressing up in your finest German-themed costume with fun prizes.

Get ready for an incredible array of kids’ activities that will make their day unforgettable. We have all the kids’ favorites lined up: let their creativity run wild with pumpkin painting led by North Tahoe Arts, Balloon Twisting with Inspired Balloons, Coloring Corner sponsored by Gatekeeper’s Museum, and make sure not to overlook the Story Trail courtesy of Tahoe City Friends of the Library.

Prepare for a fun-filled day of craft beer, live music, local food trucks, games, and a vibrant vendor village.

There will be a free Bike Valet at the event, and a free Event Shuttle will be offered from Olympic Valley and the West Shore. Details available closer to the event.
